Inspiration can come as a surprise— like when we encounter something and feel driven to translate that into a sketch or a piece of writing. Other times, inspiration comes from within— undefinable, until we give it a form.

The paper in this sketchbook is really pleasant, the paper holds water really well with minimal buckling and the colors hold their vibrancy✨ I think this sketchbook is ideal for casual painting since it's so easy to carry around - and it's also the perfect size to fit in your bag. Overall a really unique and lovely sketchbook that I can't wait to use more!
Tried out my new Dr. Ph. Martin's watercolours on my @mosseryco sketchbook. I really like how the mixed media paper absorbs inks and watercolours💖
Now i used this sketchbook for a while and i have to say that i really like the paper of it. It’s a high quality mixed media paper with fine grain that is fine enough for pencils but grainy and heavy enough (224gsm) for wet media. The sizing is very good and holds watercolors and ink very well without feathering.
Here’s a fun little mermaid/serpent sketch in my @mosseryco watercolor sketchbook! I wanted to test out how their new watercolor paper handles a lot of water. It warped a little like most papers, but nothing a little tape can’t fix! The texture is nice and I love the rounded corners in their sketchbooks😍 overall it’s one of my favorite watercolor sketchbooks but the fact that you can customize it makes it even more✨💯👌🏼😍
Tried the @mosseryco watercolor sketchbook paper out today, and this is the result! I really liked the grain of this paper, it's just the right amount of smooth for me❤️ and warping is minimal too. I tried out their mixed media paper before on another occasion and liked that one as well, but this one is definitely more suited for more detail oriented work!
Here's my first page in @mosseryco watercolor sketchbook 😊 I tried much brighter colours than my usual watercolor works and I think I like it! With the sketchbook, I'm honestly impressed at how little the paper buckled in the process. It is cold pressed and has a nice subtle texture - not too much tooth which is perfect for me as I've been leaning towards smoother papers lately.
I love it so much! It’s such a beautiful sketchbook, it comes with 300 gsm watercolor paper and the surface has a subtle tooth to it. The paper takes the watercolor nicely, and only warps ever so slightly ~ which is so rare in watercolor sketchbook!
uhmmm, are you done? 'cause I got lives to save 💪💖 Drew @babsdraws' Bosozoku Sailor moon redesign for my first try painting on @mosseryco notebook! I gotta say, I'm impressed! The page doesn't buckle despite my heavy gouache painting and markers don't leave marks on the next page. Y'all gotta try it for yourself too! 😊💖 i got the 70 pages mixed media paper btw!

I've been waiting for mossery to make a bigger size for the longest time!
THE COVER:
I like it's grey colour compared to the usual black colour you see on a lot of sketchbooks, it's pretty and refreshing. I got the Chinese new year ox on the front of mine as a way to show the year and it looks amazing, I'm looking forward to 2024 & 2025 (the dragon and snake).
THE INSIDE:
The inside of the book has a beautiful seafoam colour which compliments the grey nicely, the packaging is amazing as usual. I normally am not a huge fan of spiral bound sketchbooks, I put up with it on occasion because I like mossery's paper, but with this bigger size it's not much of an issue. I usually use the right page (I'm right handed) for the nice sketches then the left page for swatches and quick drawings. The paper is amazing with watercolour, gouache, ink, and pencil. I would love if they offered a very smooth hotpress paper but I am still pretty happy with this one cause the tooth isn't much at all. Another thing that I like is you can fold the cover around to the back easily to make the book smaller and easy to hold when you are drawing, it also makes it easier to draw on the left page (or whatever page isn't the side of your dominant hand). The cover texture is that smooth rubbery texture which has been holding up well to the odd spill.
WHAT I'D LOVE TO SEE:
I'm hoping they add the pretty artist edition covers to this bigger size and make a wireless large version in the future. If they added a smooth hotpress option they would have my money forever.
SHIPPING:
It was pretty quick shipping to Canada, they are usually fairly fast with their shipping. I've ordered from mossery 3 times (?) and I can't recall anything ever coming damaged.
I have been using the smaller Mossery sketchbooks and loved them so much when I saw the larger version I had to get them. The quality is still amazing!
