Since I'm a huge Poopikat fan, I'm probably not particularly objective :D I love the selection of high-quality materials, and the paper in the mixed media sketchbooks is my absolute favorite. The instructions in the booklet could probably be more detailed for beginners, but since I'm familiar with Poopikat's technique, they're sufficient for me. Unfortunately, I do have one major complaint: the cap on the Sakura Pigma Brush wasn't on; it was lying loose in the material bag. The bag soaked up the paint, and the tip of the brush is now bent. The brush also seems to have lost quite a bit of its color. It's basically unusable as a result. Still, I'm very happy to finally own the art kit :)
The kit is very comprehensive and includes everything you need to get started.
However, I agree with the previous reviews. The practice guidebook could be better detailed. I may suggest adding a QR code that links to instruction videos.
I bought the poopikat mixed media art kit and everything came in great condition and surprisingly fast! The kit has a great quality!
It's a bit disappointing that the steps to follow are short. I would prefer tutorials in more detail for the process that the artist follow.
Overall is a great art kit that you can practice with!
I really wanted to love this kit. The workbook is so ding dang small, and the directions to teach you the techniques are very sparse. The illustrations are so small, too. I loved the supplies and really wish we had more technique exercises and instruction. I spent all this money so that I could learn to do this technique so I'm pretty disappointed for the heft price of the kit itself. Real bummer.
I had purchased the mini kit and and bought the supplies myself as the full kid had been sold out. Haven't had a chance to start it yet, but I love the inspiration and am looking forward to learning some of her techniques.
