We chose to leave the spine of the book exposed and separated from the cover so that it can slide and lay flat without damaging the spine of the cover. Try it for yourself!

It feels like a sophisticated book - smooth and solid design. Slightly disappointed of the ghosting but I'm not mad at it. I love that it really lays very flat. I've been looking for a brand that sells threadbound notebooks and Mossery has been a top pick. There is the pre-printed opening pages that I don't think I will use very much but it gives a nice personal touch to the notebook. I'm loving it so far; considering to get the sketchbook next :D

Mossery stuff is always amazing - this is my second journal and I chose to get a threadbound version instead of a wirebound and it's AMAZING. I love it so much!
