Wholeheartedly Satisfied

To say this checked every box would be an understatement. The quality of every item is of the highest standard, but more importantly, extremely thoughtful.

The 4 (+1) booklets were very detailed and provided an excellent starting point. But it was the "Introspect Prompt Cards" that truly helped me reflect on what's important.

The journal cover was sturdy, and appears to be able to handle regular use for years to come (tbd tbh), and the paper quality was thick enough to accommodate my fountain pen without feathering and minimal bleeding.

The stickers and washi tape were fun bonuses! But the real winner here are the brush pens. Totally changed my writing game! Do pray for my newfound pen addiction...

Admittedly I got this at a discount, but having used the kit for awhile now, I am absolutely certain I'd have no regrets investing in this very well thought out kit.

Might just start gifting these to friends (once my bank account recovers of course). 10/10 purchase, will definitely be back soon. Thank you team Mossery!

Nice idea, could be better

Starting with the Threadbound Notebook, I have to say I’m a bit disappointed. The paper is thinner than expected—while 120gsm would have been better, 160gsm would have been ideal. I admit I neglected to check this before purchasing. Another downside is the cover, which basically forces the notebook into expandable pockets, making the pockets less useful.

The pre-printed pages also aren’t very useful to me. It would have been nicer if they included fewer pre-designed pages or offered a guide for those who want to create those layouts themselves. The dot grid is very pale, too pale even.

On a more positive note, I’m really enjoying the Self-Care Journal and the Life in Progress booklet. They’re well thought-out and practical, giving me what I was looking for in a structured journal.

As for the pens, the quality is decent, but the colour selection leaves something to be desired. Pale pink and blue tones are not aesthetically pleasing, I had hoped they would look better on paper than in the photos, but I would have nicer colours. That said, the pens write smoothly and are of good quality.

I haven’t had the chance to dive into the Introspect Cards yet, but they seem promising and I’m looking forward to exploring them more.

In hindsight, I think it would have been better to simply purchase the Self-Care Journal on its own and find a higher quality notebook and pens with colours more suited to my taste. (Which I’ve since done!)
